Pregnant Yesenia Lisette Aguilar Struck and Killed on Katella Avenue, Courtney Pandolfi Arrested
Anaheim, CA (UPDATE) – On August 10, a 35-week-pregnant woman named Yesenia Lisette Aguilar died in a pedestrian accident on Katella Avenue and Bayless Street.
Moreover, the crash happened at around 7:30 p.m. when the 23-year-old victim walking on the sidewalk with her husband.
Sgt. Shane Carringer, a spokesman for the Anaheim Police Department said the driver, Courtney Pandolfi, lost control of her vehicle.
Then, it jumped into a barrier and struck the victim.
Shortly after, authorities pronounced the victim dead. On the other hand, her baby, who was delivered by cesarean section, is in critical condition, but survived. Her husband did not sustain any injuries.
Meanwhile, authorities transported the suspect driver to a hospital with non-fatal injuries. Police suspect the incident as a DUI crash.
