Rider Dies after Crash with Car at Fairview Road and Adams Avenue

 
COSTA MESA, CA (March 19, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed following a traffic collision with a car Tuesday evening in Costa Mesa.
 
The fatal collision happened around 8:50 p.m. at the intersection of Fairview Road and Adams Avenue, just near the Orange Coast College.
 
According to Costa Mesa Police, a Nissan sedan was traveling westbound on El Camino Drive, which turns into Adams Avenue, when it collided with the motorcycle that was heading northbound on Fairview Road.
 
The impact sent the rider down on the roadway with fatal injuries. The victim, who was identified Wednesday morning as a 22-year-old Yasar Barakzai of Irvine, was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The driver of the Nissan cooperated with police and did not show obvious signs of intoxication.
 
Further investigation of this incident is underway.
