1 Killed in Santa Rosa Hit-and-Run Accident on Highway 101 near Yolanda Avenue

 
SANTA ROSA, CA (July 29, 2021) – Saturday morning, Yaquelin Garcia Magdaleno died in a hit-and-run crash on Highway 101.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on Highway 101, just south of the Yolanda Avenue exit.
 
Reports revealed that a Toyota veered off the road and over a ditch. Then, it crashed into a chain-link fence and hit two trees before it rolled over to its roof.
 
Furthermore, officials confirmed that 16-year-old Yaquelin Garcia Magdaleno died in the crash.
 
Moreover, Santa Rosa Police Department arrested 27-year-old Jovan Velasquez. Authorities booked Velasquez into Sonoma County Jail on the outstanding warrant, felony hit-and-run, and vehicular manslaughter.
