48th Avenue Fatal Crash Injures People
Yakima, WA (March 22, 2022) – On Sunday afternoon, an 88-year-old Yakima woman sustained fatal injuries in a 48th Avenue three-car collision.
Right away, the authorities responded to the crash scene at the intersection with Washington Avenue.
According to the investigators, a 2010 Chevrolet Aveo driver attempted to turn east onto Washington Avenue but failed to yield and hit a westbound 2010 Hyundai Tucson.
The Hyundai rested in the eastbound lanes of Washington Avenue where it was hit by a 2017 Subaru Forester.
Unfortunately, the Yakima woman driving the Chevy lost her life at the scene.
Meanwhile, the paramedics rushed the 86-year-old female passenger to Harborview Medical Center.
Reports said that the Hyundai and Subaru drivers were treated at area hospitals and were later released.
