Xiaohu Cheng and Duan Jing Injured in Fatal Crash on Highway 138 in Pearblossom
Pearblossom, CA (April 6, 2021) – On Monday, a crash on Longview Road and Pearblossom Highway left one person dead and Xiaohu Cheng, 58, injured.
The tragic incident happened on April 5 at 12356 Pearblossom Highway at about 3:20 p.m.
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the extent of the crash left one person trapped in a wreck. However, due to the lack of details, it is unclear what events led up to the Highway 138 collision.
Officials pronounced one of the victims dead on the scene. The identification is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
Meanwhile, responding officials airlifted passenger Juan Ding, 57, and Xiaohu Cheng to the hospital for treatments.
The severity of the injuries sustained remains unknown. Moreover, there has been no update regarding their current condition.
Furthermore, Caltrans reported that the incident prompted the closure of two eastbound lanes of the Longview Road highway.
