1 Person Dead in Callahan County Auto Accident on State Highway 36 and US Highway 283
CALLAHAN COUNTY, TX (June 4, 2024) – On Sunday, Wylie Howard Parker III died in a horrific two-vehicle crash on State Highway 36 and US Highway 283.
The incident happened at the intersection of State Highway 36 and US Highway 283.
According to reports, a northbound passenger car failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with an eastbound pickup truck.
Moreover, Justice of the Peace Tom Rumfield pronounced the driver of the passenger car, identified as 21-year-old Parker III, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics airlifted the driver of the pickup, identified as 82-year-old James William Apple, to Hendrick Medical Center with critical injuries.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
