Driver Arrested in Kirkland Traffic Collision
Kirkland, WA (May 22, 2023) – On Sunday, a WSP trooper sustained injuries following a DUI collision on Interstate 405.
The traffic accident happened just before 2 a.m. near Northeast 124th Street.
Investigators said the officer was sitting in their patrol car on the shoulder of the freeway when a pickup truck swerved onto the shoulder and struck the patrol car before rolling.
Responding medics took the trooper and the driver to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Later on, the authorities arrested the pickup truck driver for impairment.
