Trooper Hurt in Snoqualmie Car Accident
SNOQUALMIE, WA (February 4, 2020) – A WSP trooper was hospitalized after a serious car accident on Highway 18 on January 28.
The incident involving a Washington State Patrol vehicle and a semi-truck happened around 1:00 p.m., just west of 90 Freeway. Officers arrived in the westbound lanes of Highway 18.
Police shut down all the westbound lanes of 18 Freeway at 90 Freeway while firefighters came to the scene. The lanes reopened by 3:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Snoqualmie Fire Department said that the WSP Commercial Truck Enforcement Officer hit the back of the semi-truck that was slowing down.
The WSP trooper suffered neck and back pain and was taken to Overlake Medical Center as a precaution.
