WSP Officer Injured in Interstate 82 Rear-End Crash [Sunnyside, WA]

Sunnyside, WA (January 20, 2023) On Thursday morning, a WSP trooper sustained injuries after a rear-end crash on Interstate 82.

Washington State Patrol says that the vehicle crash happened at about 7:45 a.m. on westbound I-82 in Sunnyside.

Reports say that a vehicle struck the WSP vehicle. The patrol vehicle is parked on the right shoulder at milepost 66.

Moreover, the collision caused significant damage to the rear-end of the patrol car. Furthermore, paramedics transported the trooper to the emergency room for immediate treatment.

Authorities are investigating the probable cause of the rear-end crash and have not released additiona details at this time.
