Vehicle Overturns in Major Collision near Dry Creek Road

 
RIO LINDA, CA (February 1, 2019) – An incident of wrong-way driving had led to a head-on crash on Elkhorn Boulevard, late Friday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 11:29 PM, near the intersection of Dry Creek Road. Based on their report, a Pontiac and an unknown car were involved in the incident. One of the parties was driving at the wrong way before it struck the oncoming second vehicle. It was not yet clear which vehicle overturned in the process.
 
The paramedics were called for needed medical attention. They confirmed that injuries were sustained by the motorists involved in incident. The victims’ conditions were said to be major.
 
Clearing and cleaning operations took place in the area. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident.
