21-Year-Old Man Hospitalized after Hit-and-Run Collision near Delta Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 7, 2018) – A man was injured Sunday afternoon following a head-on crash on South 43rd Street. The identity of the 21-year-old victim was not immediately disclosed to the public.
According to officials with the San Diego Police Department, the incident took place at about 2:43 PM near Delta Street. A Saturn sedan was heading north in the southbound lanes of 43rd Street when it collided with a Ford F-150.
The wrong-way driver was transported to a hospital with a broken arm and fractured ribs. Updates on his current medical condition were not available. Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup truck left the area shortly after the crash. It is unclear if the pickup driver walked away or was picked up in a vehicle.
