Tragic Wrong-Way Crash on Interstate 90 Kills 3 People [Mercer Island, WA]

(October 31, 2023) On Sunday midnight, 3 people lost their lives in a tragic wrong-way crash on Interstate 90.

According to the WSP, the fatal traffic collision happened on I-90, near Island Crest Way.

Reports say that a 30-year-old Seattle man was driving westbound on the eastbound lanes when he collided with another vehicle head-on. Officials say that the Seattle man and the 22-year-old Bellevue man driving the other vehicle, and his passenger, identified only as a 23-year-old California resident, died in the collision.

Authorities say that the fatal crash blocked all eastbound lanes and were reopened at around 5:30 a.m.
