Suspected DUI Collision near Cannon Road Sends Motorist to Hospital

Carlsbad, CA (December 2, 2023) On Friday morning, a wrong-way crash on Interstate 5 left a driver hurt and hospitalized.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the suspected DUI collision happened on the southbound side of I-5 near Cannon Road.

Reports say that a northbound black pick up truck crashed head-on into a southbound car with two occupants.

Officials say that the driver of the car sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital. The passenger escaped injuries.

Meanwhile, the truck driver was arrested after showing sign of DUI.

Authorities are investigating the suspected DUI collision and have not released additional information at this time.
