Horrible Wrong-Way Collision on Loop 820 Kills 5 People [Fort Worth, TX]

(October 29, 2024) On Sunday morning, 5 people lost their lives and another 1 was hurt in a horrific wrong-way collision on Loop 820.

According to Fort Worth police, the disastrous crash happened at about 3:35 a.m. in the 3000 block of westbound Loop 820.

Authorities say that a devastating wrong-way crash on I-820 Northwest Loop claimed five lives.

Officials say that the fatal accident happened on Loop 820, just past Marine Creek Parkway.

When officers arrived, they found a two-vehicle collision involving a fire and entrapment. Initial findings suggest that one vehicle was traveling in the wrong direction on Loop 820, leading to the fatal collision with another vehicle.

Medical responders declared five individuals dead on the scene, while one additional person was transported to a local hospital for medical care.

The Fort Worth Police Department’s Traffic Investigations Unit is currently investigating the factors that led to this tragic incident.
