VALLEY CENTER, CA (March 29, 2019) – A 35-year-old man suffered injuries Friday morning following a helicopter crash on Muutama Road.
According to the Valley Center Fire Protection District, the incident happened near McNally Road, at about 7:30 AM. A helicopter used for crop dusting was refilling the aircraft with pesticides when its pilot attempted to lift off.
The refilling hose, which was still attached to the aircraft, caused the helicopter to spin and crash. Then, it struck the man standing on top of the refilling truck.
