Interstate 5 Collision Injures Female Police Officer

Woodland, CA (July 31, 2021) – On Friday, a female police officer suffers injuries when she was struck on Interstate 5.

The accident happened at about 1 a.m., about a mile north of Highway 113.

The officer was doing traffic control for firefighters at a grass fire in a field along Interstate 5 when a vehicle struck her while sitting in her vehicle.

Reports said the involved vehicle was trying to pass the fire trucks when it struck the officer.

Rescuers took her to a local hospital for suffering minor injuries . Officers said she is expected to be OK.

Since you cannot read the intention of the driver in front of you, don’t tailgate.

Maintain some distance between your vehicle and the one ahead in order to give yourself enough response time should the vehicle ahead make a sudden turn or stop.

Prevention Is Always Better Than Cure
