Afternoon Motorcycle Crash on Highway 16 in Woodland, Major Injuries Sustained
WOODLAND, CA (March 17, 2019) – Two people were seriously injured following a motorcycle collision Sunday afternoon in Woodland.
Dispatchers received calls about the accident around 1:14 p.m. First responders arrived to the scene near County Road 95 soon after.
According to the highway patrol, the motorcycle and an unidentified vehicle collided for unknown reasons. Consequently, all lanes of the highway were blocked. The motorcyclist and his passenger were badly injured, due to the impact of the crash.
An ambulance unit was dispatched to the scene and took the patients to a hospital. Their identities and conditions were not immediately available.
The motorcycle was towed away from the crash site.
No information was provided if the vehicle’s driver remained or fled after the crash. It is also unknown whether any charges were filed and liability has not yet been determined.
The incident remains under investigation.
