71-Year-Old Woman Dies in South Figueroa Street Hit-And-Run Crash in South Los Angeles

 
South Los Angeles, CA (July 1, 2021) – Thursday night, a 71-year-old woman died in a hit-and-run crash in the 11000 block of South Figueroa Street.
 
The fatal hit-and-run crash in South Los Angeles happened at about 9:20 p.m. on July 1.
 
The Los Angeles police said the victim was crossing the street in a wheelchair when she was struck. However, the driver immediately fled the crash scene.
 
Meanwhile, the aerial footage from Sky2 showed a broken wheelchair in the roadway.
 
Authorities declared the woman dead at the scene.
 
There is no description of the suspect or the vehicle this time.
 
Police continue to further investigate this fatal incident.
