Chandler Hit-and-Run Crash on Arizona Avenue
CHANDLER, AZ (August 16, 2019) – A woman in her wheelchair sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Arizona Avenue on Friday morning.
According to the Police, the collision happened near Ray Road at around 7:14 PM. Based on a report, the victim crossed Ray Road northbound when a dark-colored Dodge Caravan struck her. However, the vehicle left the scene after the incident.
The paramedics took the victim to the hospital, where she is listed with serious injuries.
Police said the Dodge fled south on Iowa Street into the neighborhood. It should have damage to the driver’s side front bumper. In addition, the driver is described as a Hispanic male, in his late 30’s, wearing a dark-colored hat with a mustache.
No further details are immediately known. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
