Pedestrian Struck and Injured on East D Street
Tacoma, WA (January 27, 2022) – On Wednesday, at 6:10 p.m., a female pedestrian sustained injuries in an East D Street hit-and-run crash.
Officers said a pickup truck struck a woman attending a protest in downtown Tacoma.
As a result, the victim suffered from injuries while the suspect immediately drove from the scene.
Police said the vehicle went over a curb and struck the woman, then sped southbound.
Immediately, the emergency rescuers took the woman to a local hospital with a broken hip.
Apparently, the woman was one of the protesters attending a meeting at LeMay – America’s Car Museum.
The authorities are investigating this collision.
