1 Critically Injured after Napa Pedestrian Accident on Soscol Avenue
NAPA, CA (July 12, 2019) – A woman sustained critical injuries after a car struck her on Soscol Avenue on July 10.
Authorities received reports of the pedestrian accident around 2:57 p.m. Dispatchers arrived near Soscol Avenue and Pear Tree Lane shortly after.
Officers located the 80-year-old Napa woman on the roadway upon arrival. She sustained injuries to her head and face as a result of the impact. However, the involved driver and a witness remained at the scene.
Personnel with the Napa Fire Department and AMR came to the scene and treated the woman. In addition, they took the woman to a local hospital where she remained in critical condition.
During the investigation, authorities shut down the southbound Soscol Avenue for around 45 minutes between Trancas Street and Pear Tree Lane.
Northbound Soscol remained unavailable for a bit longer. In addition, it remained close for almost four hours between Trancas and Old Soscol Way.
Drugs and alcohol were determined to not be factors in the collision.
The identities of the people remain unreleased as of this time.
