Woman Hospitalized after Big Rig Crash on Interstate 10 in Banning
Banning, CA (November 4, 2020) – Wednesday morning, a woman sustained severe injuries when a big rig struck her on the eastbound shoulder of Interstate 10.
The crash happened at about 11:10 a.m. on November 4.
The California Highway Patrol reports say the woman, who was a passenger in a car pulled over to the side of the interstate, was attempting to switch spots with the driver at the time. She was, unfortunately, “clipped” by the side of the big rig after just east of Highland Springs Avenue.
The victim was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs for treatment of broken bones and other injuries.
Meanwhile, the trucker remained uninjured. Police say alcohol or drugs are not factors in the crash.
What to do after an accident
Hiring a Personal Attorney
The most valuable step you can take in response to a vehicle crash is hiring a personal injury attorney. Mark Sweet, a personal injury attorney at Sweet Lawyers, says that serious car accident cases may call for a separate investigation spearheaded by an experienced lawyer fighting on behalf of a party. Oftentimes, injuries are not reported until it is too late.
