Pedestrian Injured, Nakleh Kare Arrested in Tenderloin Hit-and-Run Accident
TENDERLOIN, CA (March 18, 2019) – A woman suffered serious injuries after a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Monday, March 11.
According to authorities, the collision occurred at an unspecified time on Golden Gate Avenue.
CHP officials said that 41-year-old Nakleh Kare of Tenderloin was driving at a high rate of speed when he struck a female pedestrian.
Responding firefighters brought the woman to the hospital for treatment of severe injuries. The victim’s identity and her current condition were not immediately available.
Kare fled the scene after the incident. Authorities later found the suspect and arrested him on Tuesday. Officers booked him into jail where he is held without bail.
An investigation is ongoing.
