Jaywalking Pedestrian Hospitalized after Collision with Car near Lincoln Avenue
NAPA, CA (September 26, 2018) – A woman was injured Wednesday evening following a pedestrian collision on Silverado Trail, near 7-Eleven. The identity of the victim was not immediately released to the public.
According to officials with the Napa Police Department, the incident took place at about 7:15 PM. The pedestrian appeared to have been jaywalking north of Lincoln Avenue when she was struck by a vehicle.
The victim sustained compound fractures to her right arm and right leg, and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment and medical evaluation. There are no updates on her current medical condition. Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash and to identify possible contributing factors.
