Woman Critical in Suspected DUI Hit-And-Run Crash in La Luna Avenue Ojai
Ojai, CA (May 21, 2020)– On Wednesday evening, one unidentified woman sustained severe injuries. The police arrested a 34-year-old Nathan Whitteker after a suspected DUI hit-and-run in La Luna Avenue and El Roblar Drive.
The collision occurred at about 6:19 p.m. on May 20. Dispatched officers arrived and extricated the severely injured woman trapped in her car.
According to reports, Whitteker was driving his vehicle on the roadway when he ran a stop sign at the intersection and collided with a second unspecified automobile. The driver sustained grave injuries and rushed to Ventura County Medical Center for immediate aide.
Meanwhile, Whitteker fled the scene after the collision, but he later returned on foot. At this time, Whitteker is facing charges of driving under the influence and hit-and-run, causing injury.
