Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted after Two-Vehicle Crash near Pleasant Grove Boulevard Off-Ramp
ROCKLIN, CA (June 28, 2018) – A woman was hospitalized Thursday afternoon following a hit-and-run crash on Highway 65.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened shortly before 2:00 PM near the Pleasant Grove Boulevard off-ramp. A white SUV was northbound on Highway 65 when it swerved towards a white Nissan Altima. In an attempt to avoid the SUV, the driver of the Altima lost control of the vehicle, overturned, and crashed into a pole.
The impact of the crash split the Nissan in half, trapping its 28-year-old female driver inside. After she was extricated from the wrecked vehicle by responding officials, the woman was transported to Sutter Roseville hospital with major injuries.
Investigators continue to seek the hit-and-run driver and the vehicle involved. The white SUV was described to be a Ford without a licensed plate, and the driver was determined to be a male in his 30s or 40s.
