1 Hurt in Mira Mesa Car Accident
MIRA MESA, CA (March 12, 2019) – A female passenger sustained serious injuries after a pickup struck her vehicle on March 10.
The incident occurred before 6:25 p.m. on Avenida Del Gato and Calle Cristobal. San Diego Police Officer John Buttle covered the accident site.
Buttle revealed that a 40-year-old driver of a 2003 Acura sedan stopped at a red light. In addition, the Acura was facing southbound on Avenida Del Gato. At the same time, a 35-year-old male driving a 2011 Ford pickup drove west, approaching the intersection.
“One of the drivers failed to obey their signal and proceeded into the intersection and the two vehicles collided,” Buttle stated.
As a result, medical responders transported a female passenger in the Acura with serious injuries. Some occupants from the Acura also complained of pain.
Mwanwhile, the driver of the Ford stayed at the area and helped with the officers.
The traffic division officers conducts the crash investigation. In addition, the authorities ruled out drugs or alcohol as a factor in the collision.
