Woman in Late 70s Killed in State Route 702 Accident [Pierce County, WA]

Pierce County, WA (July 19, 2024) – A woman in her late 70s has died in a State Route 702 accident Thursday morning.

Troopers said a big rig was traveling east when it struck the woman. 

Unfortunately, the authorities confirmed that the woman was killed in this accident.

Police officers are investigating this collision and if the victim was on the road when she was hit.

Troopers did a full road closure on the freeway east of 40th Street near McKenna and encouraged drivers to use alternate routes during the investigation.
