67-Year-Old Woman Dead in Pinon Hills in Truck Collision Pinon Pines Road
PINON HILLS, CA (August 4, 2019) — A 67-year-old woman died following a water truck accident on Pinon Pines Road on Tuesday, July 30.
The incident happened at a private property on Pinon Pines Road near Highway 2 and Highway 138.
California Highway Patrol officers rushed to the crash location. They found the female suffering from major injuries.
According to a CHP news release, the truck collision occurred as a 27-year-old male from Pinon Hills was delivering water in a 1999 Peterbilt water tender.
For reasons still under investigation, the driver of the Peterbilt started to move forward. Then the left front tire of the vehicle struck the pedestrian, the release said.
CHP officials said paramedics brought the woman to Desert Valley Hospital where she died.
