Person of Interest in Fatal Crash on North 33rd Street Surrenders
San Jose, CA (August 27, 2024) On Sunday morning, a female pedestrian was killed in a tragic hit-and-run crash on 33rd Street.
According to San Jose police, the fatal crash happened at about 4:15 a.m. on the 400 block of North 33rd Street.
Reports say that rescuers found a woman unresponsive in the roadway, medics say that the woman was bleeding when they found her.
Medics attempted life-saving measures on the woman, however the woman was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Authorities say that the woman may have been ran over by a vehicle. Officials say that a person of interest surrendered hours later.
Police are investigating the fatal crash and have not provided further information at this time.
