22-Year-Old Woman Fatally Shot while Driving near South 114th Street

 
SEATTLE, WA (September 19, 2018) – A woman was killed late Wednesday evening following a shooting incident on Rainier Avenue South. The identity of the 22-year-old victim was not immediately available.
 
According to the King County Sheriff’s Office, the incident took place at about 10:22 PM in the 11400 block of Rainier Avenue South, near South 114th Street. A person inside a southbound black or a dark-colored sedan shot the victim in the head while she was driving.
 
After the incident, the woman’s vehicle veered across the center line, sideswiped a car, and slammed into another vehicle before coming to a rest.
 
The unidentified woman was pronounced dead at the scene after sustaining fatal injuries. No other injuries were reported by responding officers.
 
Meanwhile, the search for the suspect vehicle continues. Anyone with information about the shooting or the whereabouts of the suspect is encouraged to contact the authorities by calling (206) 296-3311. Additional information will be released to the public following the conclusion of the investigation.
