Driver Ejected from Car in Beaumont Accident
BEUMONT, CA (May 8, 2019) – Wednesday afternoon, a woman was killed in a rollover crash on the 60 Freeway near the Jack Rabbit Trail.
Officials reported the accident occurred around 12:48 PM on the 60 Freeway between Gilman Springs Road and Lamb Canyon. Authorities stated that a 2004 Ford F250 drifted onto the shoulder and eventually went through a fence. The truck consequently came to a stop upside down due to the impact.
According to police, the driver was not wearing a seat belt. As a result, she was partially ejected from the vehicle. Several good samaritans approached the crash to assist. In addition, they notified dispatch the driver was in her 50’s and in critical condition.
However, the victim succumbed to her injuries a couple minutes after first responders arrived. In addition, reports also indicate the victim had been crushed by her own vehicle.
There has been no further information released about the incident at this time.
