1 Dead in Oceanside Pedestrian Accident on Oceanside Boulevard
OCEANSIDE, CA (January 18, 2021) – Sunday morning, a woman died in a pedestrian crash on Oceanside Boulevard.
The Oceanside Police Department came to the crash scene at 2:32 a.m. Moreover, Sgt. Rick Davis of the OPD Traffic Services Unit revealed that it happened in the 3300 block of Oceanside Boulevard.
When the authorities arrived, they located an unresponsive woman with a head injury. They found the woman in the westbound lanes of Oceanside Boulevard.
Unfortunately, the woman died at the scene despite life-saving measures.
“At this time, it appears the pedestrian was walking in the eastbound lanes of Oceanside Boulevard when she was struck by a minivan traveling eastbound in the number three lane,” Davis added.
Meanwhile, the minivan driver pulled over and contacted the police. Then, authorities evaluated the 43-year-old woman and detained her on suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol during the crash.
At this time, the identities of the parties involved weren’t disclosed.
