1 Dead in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard and Overland Drive
SAN DIEGO, CA (April 13, 2021) – Monday night, a woman died in a pedestrian crash on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard and Overland Drive.
According to San Diego Police Officer John Buttle, the incident happened at around 10:00 p.m. Moreover, it occurred at the intersection of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard and Overland Drive, just east of state Route 163.
Reports revealed that the crash involved a 35-year-old man driving a westbound 2006 Toyota Tundra street sweeper. According to reports, the vehicle struck the female pedestrian walking in a marked crosswalk.
Furthermore, responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Also, the identity of the victim is being withheld, pending notification to the next of kin.
