1 Dead in Highland Accident on Baseline Street
HIGHLAND, CA (September 10, 2020) – Monday night, a woman died in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Baseline Street.
According to authorities, the 33-year-old Rialto woman was waling on Baseline Street and Rogers Lane around 11:30 p.m. However, a vehicle hit her and fled the scene, continued driving east on Baseline Street.
When the sheriff’s deputies arrived, they located the woman at the intersection. Medical responders took her to St. Bernadine’s Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Meanwhile, the authorities are still looking for the hit-and-run driver on Tuesday.
The police described the suspect’s vehicle as a yellow hatchback or a small SUV.
Due to limited information, the crash remains under investigation.
