Unidentified Woman Fatally Struck by Vehicle in San Clemente Pedestrian Accident

 
SAN CLEMENTE, CA (January 25, 2019) – Early Friday evening, a woman was fatally struck in a pedestrian crash on Avenida Del Presidente. Her name has not yet been released pending notification of her next of kin.
 
Around 7:00 p.m., first responders arrived to Avenida Del Presidente just north of Avenida De Las Palmera after receiving dispatch calls about a serious pedestrian accident in the area. According to reports, the unidentified woman in her 30s was struck by a northbound vehicle.
 
Due to the impact of the crash, the female victim died on scene.
 
The female driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and cooperated with officials. She was examined on scene for potential impairment and was later released pending toxicology results. Her identity has not been given to the public at this time.
 
State Officials also indicated that it is currently unknown whether or not speed was a factor in the incident. No further details regarding the circumstances leading up the accident have been disclosed.
