Woman Dead after Richmond Pedestrian Accident on 580 Freeway
RICHMOND, CA (July 18, 2019) – A woman died following a pedestrian crash on 580 Freeway in Richmond on Wednesday, July 17.
According to California Highway Patrol, at around 5:43 a.m., they received the initial report of the pedestrian accident on 580 Freeway. It occurred at the Harbour Way off-ramp near Cutting Boulevard.
Authorities stated that the victim was struck multiple times. Officers have not yet released her name and place of residence.
Officials shut down all eastbound lanes and they diverted traffic off the freeway at Harbor Way.
All lanes were eventually reopened after 8 a.m.
