50-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck in Carmel Valley Parking Lot
SAN DIEGO, CAC (June 15, 2018) – A 50-year-old woman was killed in a pedestrian collision along High Bluff Drive while she was walking in the parking lot of a Carmel Valley office building.
The victim was fatally struck at around 2:50 PM at the 12700 block of High Bluff Drive, according to the San Diego Police Department. A 44-year-old man was driving a Dodge van southbound through the parking lot and hit the woman after attempting to make a right turn.
The female victim was brought to Scripps Memorial where she succumbed to her injuries and was later pronounced dead. Her identity was not immediately released to the public.
Alcohol and drugs were not considered to be involved in the incident. The San Diego Police Traffic Division is currently investigating.
