Pedestrian Dead in San Jose Crash
SAN JOSE, CA (December 17, 2018) – A woman died after she was struck by a vehicle while walking across an uncontrolled intersection on Saturday, December 15.
A 2018 Porsche was moving eastbound at about 6:12 p.m. on Quito Road passing Northlawn Drive when it struck the pedestrian while she was walking across Quito Road. The victim was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The female driver stayed on the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Alcohol and drugs were not believed to be factors in the crash, according to police.
The victim’s identity was not immediately released by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office.
