Woman Fatally Injured after Graham Pedestrian Accident on Highway 161
GRAHAM, WA (November 13, 2019) – A woman died following a pedestrian accident on Highway 161 in Pierce County on Monday, November 11.
The woman walked south along the fog line on the edge of Highway 161 near 317th Street. Then a passing pickup truck hit her with its passenger-side mirror, Washington State Patrol stated.
The impact knocked the woman over into the right shoulder.
The driver stopped and contacted 911. However, paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of her family members.
The driver will not face any charges, according to troopers.
