Ivanhoe Woman Died in Kingsburg Highway 99 Multi-Vehicle Crash
Kingsburg, CA (May 15, 2020)– On Thursday night, one unidentified Ivanhoe woman died in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 99.
According to reports, officers first received news of a solo-vehicle crash occurring southbound Highway 99, south of Sierra Street, at around 10:40 p.m.
The Honda Civic, driven by an 18-year-old woman from Ivanhoe, lost control and crashed into the center divider, disabling the vehicle.
After two minutes, a Toyota Corolla, driven by a 24-year-old man from Visalia, crashed into the Civic as it sat within the southbound lanes.
Moreover, another Chevrolet Impala, driven by a 28-year-old Fresno man, also crashed into the Civic.
The Aftermath
As a result, the woman inside the Civic suffered significant injuries and remained pinned inside the car until crews extricated her.
She was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center, but medical officials later pronounced her dead.
Meanwhile, all other parties involved suffered only minor injuries. None of the identities of people involved is disclosed at this time.
The CHP said alcohol or drugs are not suspected to be a factor in the crash. Further investigation is ongoing.
