Woman Killed in Millerton Road Hit-and-Run Crash [Fresno County, CA]

Fresno County, CA (July 30, 2021) – On Wednesday, a 30-year-old woman from Fresno died Millerton Road hit-and-run crash.

The fatal accident happened at about 10:30 p.m. near Winchell Cove Road.

The authorities received reports of a person walking in the middle of the road. When they arrived at the scene, they found a woman who was struck by a vehicle.

“We don’t know why she was out here walking on Millerton Road at this time. We don’t know the other vehicle or what that vehicle was doing out here, and really, that’s the question we have,” said CHP Sgt. John Tyler.

The involved driver left the scene before the authorities arrived.

Officers said they will review surveillance videos from nearby businesses to identify the cause of the crash.

Traffic crews closed Millerton Road for about two hours while authorities investigated.

Anyone with information is asked to call the California Highway Patrol.
