Woman Dead after Jet Ski Crash at Agua Hedionda Lagoon in Carlsbad
CARLSBAD, CA (August 22, 2019) – A woman died following a jet ski accident at Agua Hedionda Lagoon on Sunday, August 18.
According to Carlsbad police, the accident happened shortly before 4:00 p.m. at the Agua Hedionda Lagoon off the 4200 block of Harrison Street.
Police stated that a 17-year-old boy drove one jet ski. In addition, another was driven by a man with a female passenger.However, both crashed on the water.
First responders rushed the 39-year-old woman to the hospital after the incident. However, she died from her injuries, police reported.
There were no other injuries reported in the jet ski incident.
The cause of the collision is under investigation. Police noted that alcohol and drugs did not appear to have played a role in the crash.
