Fatal Rollover Accident on Deschutes Road in Anderson
ANDERSON, CA (April 20, 2019) – A woman was killed after rolling her car late Tuesday evening in Anderson, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 11:00 p.m. when a Honda Civic missed a curve on Deschutes Road.
CHP officials said a 22-year-old woman was heading south near Green Acres Drive when she drove down an embankment, rolling her car several times.
The woman was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was thrown from the car. She died at the scene.
Investigators believe that alcohol is a likely factor in the crash but will know more after a toxicology report.
Green Acres Drive was closed until 1:30 a.m. as law enforcement gather evidence and tow away the car.
