Pedestrian Dies after Crash Involving Pickup Truck on North Johnson Avenue

 
EL CAJON, CA (September 5, 2019) – A 45-year-old woman lost her life in a pedestrian crash on North Johnson Avenue, Thursday morning. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
According to the El Cajon Police Department, the incident happened, at about 5:35 AM. The victim attempted to cross outside of a marked crosswalk near Fletcher Parkway. There, a northbound 2019 Ford pickup truck hit her.
 
Emergency responders pronounced the woman dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver remained and cooperated with investigators.
 
Investigators ruled out alcohol and drugs as factors in the fatal collision. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
