Female Pedestrian Dies in Crash on Highway 14 near Lieser Road
VANCOUVER, WA (November 9, 2019) – A 40-year-old woman lost her life in a pedestrian crash on Highway 14, early Saturday morning.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the incident happened at about 1:42 AM. A pedestrian walked into a lane of Highway 14. There, an eastbound semi-truck hit the victim near Lieser Road.
Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, the driver of the semi-truck remained and cooperated with investigators.
The WSP ruled out drugs and alcohol as factors in the fatal collision. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
