Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Airport Way near Daisywood Drive

 
MANTECA, CA (August 30, 2019) – A woman lost her life in a pedestrian crash on Airport Way, Friday morning. Authorities withheld her identity, pending notification of next of kin.
 
According to the Manteca Police Department, the incident happened shortly before 6:30 AM. Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle hit the pedestrian between Daisywood Drive and East Lovelace Road.
 
Unfortunately, the pedestrian, described as a woman in her 50s, suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained and cooperated with investigators.
 
Authorities ruled out alcohol or drugs as factors in the fatal crash. Investigators encourage witnesses to cooperate as soon as possible. The Manteca police will release additional information following the conclusion of the investigation.
