REDDING, CA (January 2, 2020) – A woman was killed following a high-speed crash Thursday evening in Redding, police said.

The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. near Alta Mesa Drive and Rancho Road.

According to Redding police, a white 2012 Kia Optima was speeding south on Alta Mesa Drive. It did not stop at a stop sign and crashed into the boulders lining the edge of the roadway.
