One Dead in San Bernardino Car Accident
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (December 26, 2018) – A San Bernardino resident died in a hit-and-run crash on Wednesday, December 19.
The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office had not released the identity of the 34-year-old woman as of Thursday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, she was driving a Jeep east on the 210 Freeway near Miramonte Drive at around 11:35 p.m. when a white tractor-trailer drifted into her path. The woman braked and overcorrected, causing the Jeep to roll over, veer off the highway and collide into the rear of a parked Peterbilt tractor-trailer in which the driver was sleeping.
The CHP said that the driver of the tractor-trailer that drifted in front of the Jeep failed to stop.
Paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
The CHP asks that any person with information about the incident call 909-383-4247.
Deepest condolences to the bereaved loved ones of the deceased victim. Wishing them strength and support during this very difficult time.
