Los Angeles, CA (April 16, 2024) Early Monday morning, a woman in her 30s was killed in a tragic hit-and-run crash on Tampa Avenue.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the fatal crash happened at about 2:55 a.m. on Tampa Avenue and Business Center Drive.

Reports say that a vehicle fatally struck a woman on the northbound side of Tampa Avenue, and the driver did not stop to render aid to the fallen woman and fled north on Tampa toward Nordhoff Street.

Authorities pronounced the female victim dead at the scene, but officials have not released details about the victim.

LAPD is searching for the suspect driver and their vehicle who remains at large.
